Oh...time out.

This boy is one minute my sweetest angel, sharing and loving everyone around him, and then after a few DAYS of it, he's done and has a melt down. This one, was him refusing to eat and hitting people, so he went to a corner cause we knew he'd fall asleep if we put him on his bed. He asked to go to bed, but he only had 1 more hour (or he gets up all hours of the night and plays and watches tv infomercials) before bed time! So, after his fit, we hear him stop yelling in the corner and alas, he's alseep! We woke him up shortly after and he did end up eating all his dinner and being quite pleasant. But when I saw him zonked, I had to take a quick pic!

What FUN! and a temper...

Oma and Opa
Oma and Opa came to visit for our spring break. We spent half of it in Lava Hot Springs and enjoyed some time away. The kids did ok and loved to spend time with them. We swam our hearts out and now we're ready for summer! :) We miss you both!
Happy Birthday Daddy! April 1st

He's laughing cause he made a stupid face right before this. He's a strawberry freak, so this cake was all about it (even put jellow flavoring in the cake mix). We love you Daddy!

Happy Easter!!!!!
Isn't this face priceless? SO excited!

Its pics like this that remind me of how much they look alike. Its offically the cheeks.

And this is my halarious red-headed pouty girl. Her in her easter dress and bows I made to match. She's now very interested in making hair bows. :) Getting too big.

ITS A BOY!

We are all surprised and excited.

Jake's patriarchal blessings states that he'll "hold in his fatherhood arms sons and daughters". so until we have 2 boys and 2 girls, Jacob said we don't even have to pray to see if we need more children, cause his blessing has not yet been fulfilled. So, I told him that we'd probably get another 5 boys before we get anymore girls! :)

We are excited! And so grateful that we got a clean bill of health for his little one.

Now we just need to find a name!!!

Gymnast and Principle

Chase has been attending a Gymnastics class that for a few weeks now and LOVES it. He always finishes by telling me he did a great job. And he loves the butt drop. Kelton had a spirit week at school, and for the last day (career day) he dressed up in his new suit (bday gift from oma and opa) as a principle. Cause he said they solve lots of problems and are nice people.
Previous conversation:
Mom: "Kelton, sorry we missed the first day of spirit week, crazy hair day. Would you like to dress up for career day today?"
Kelton: "Yep. What's career"
Mom: "You get to dress like the job you want when you grown-up."
Kelton: "Sweet. I want to be a hot-boy, no, a hot-guy."
Mom: "Kelton...I know you dressed up for that for halloween, but you can't have a job as a hot-guy, who would pay someone to just be a hot guy." (yes, not thinking about models)
Kelton: "Girls will. Girls will pay me to be a hot boy. They will mom."
So glad principle ended the day.

My little Tae-bug

This post if for my Tae-bug. FIRST, girls are VERY different. Most of it is because we treat them that way, but as we know, we come natured up, with in-born qualities from our premortal existence with respect to our genders there.
One thing I am learning as my little girl gets older, is that she not only NEEDS things (like my boys did at this age) but WANTS the same things as I do. Maybe my gender text book was right by saying that little girls associate sooner with their moms and by doing so know what to do earlier, or we could say from a gospel stance that they come with the "nurturance" characteristic ready to grow.
However we can put it....this little one LOVES to do everything I do, and lately its been cooking. My boys liked to cook but would last maybe 10 minutes. She can sit through the whole thing and talk to me for hours. So, here is Taelin (before the pot got hot) stirring away and talking to mommy.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KELTON!
My other great pictures are on my little camera, including a video i'll try to repost, but I can't find my cord...urgh. ANYWAYS!!!! Kelton turned 6 on March 15, 2010 and had his party on the following Saturday. He had a bunch of friends over and they all had a great time. His friends were incredibly generous and he got so many great things to celebrate his birthday!
He especially liked getting money in the mail from Great Grandma/pa Bryan and then getting to go shopping when Oma and Opa (Jansen) came to visit this week.
Kelton's favorite color: green
favorite t.v. show: Star Wars, Clone Wars and Ben-10
favorite toys: right now, legos and the wii
Favorite food: hawaiian chicken with pineapple and rice

since we can't make cakes into things (lack of eggs), kelton decided to put things on TOP of the cake this year. We did army guys since his invites were army-ish. Him and Daddy picked out all the good characters and mommy got to build it. Kelton and friends approved!

Happy Belated St.Patrick's Day!

All the kids in green before Taelin spilled soap and water ALL over her dress. Oh well...at least I got a picture right?! And yes, my favorite part is where both the boys have messy hair on the left sides (our left) of their heads. Well, happy belated green day!

CONFERENCE PACKETS!

Check out these GREAT conference packets! I love the Sr. Primary one!

Dentist...love or hate?!

I will try to add pics to this later. For now, you get to hear me ramble.

I have had 21 teeth pulled...needless to say, that grinding noise from those teeth getting pulled when I was 10, still gives me the chills. I've lost 3 on my own, my 2 front teeth, and one my dad hit out with a basebal. Along with the jaw and tooth pain from moving my teeth around for 2 years having braces, not pleasant either. So, altho I've only ever had 1 cavitity, I've spent my share of time in the dentist's chair. After I had Taelin, I went in to find in two consecutive 6 month checkups...I had a total of 8 cavities (and subsquently fillings)! What? Ok, being sick for 9 months with 3 kids, means for 1 1/2 years straight my teeth were battered almost daily. So, I find myself in the chair, tensing up. Even tho nothing has happened yet. Then the needles come and they find out that I have a funny nerve and it takes 4 shots to get it right! YEP, felt every one! And I come out with my whole face numb almost (slight exaggeration!).

When Kelton was 3, he had oral surgery and was given 4 root canals, vanieers (sp?), 4 sterling silver crowns and a couple fillings. He was put under at a local surgical center. I cried more than he did I'm sure. He had some of his vanieers redone last week, and again, I cried.

Chase went in this morning, and has another visit in a few weeks...and again, I cried. Its not the pain, its just the feeling uncomfy, nervous and perched open with everything in your face. I think they do better than me, but the instant Chase squeaked my eyes instantly teared up and I went right to him. Sorry hygenist, I know that squeak! The dentist fixed it and Chase came out like a pro, just wanting me to carry him. What a sweetie...so brave.

Now Mommy just needs to be more brave!

We haven't had one of these in 2 years!

Bye Bye Boise March 4-7th, 2010

So, we headed to Boise on one of Jake's long weekends so Kyle and Jake could go snowboarding (Kyle teach/watch Jake fall down the mountain). They had a blast. Luckily they only went a couple hours each day, so that left Courtney and Vanessa some girl time. We had a blast going to a hockey game where the kids LOVED the mascotts and we had to clarify that altho there were two fights and everyone was cheering, the big guys made bad choices and were put in time out! It was warmer in Boise than here in Idaho Falls, so we brought their bikes and went on a long walk around downtown. We went to a park and had a picnic, and the kids LOVED being outside.
The kids talk about Kyle and Courtney almost everyday. We miss you guys!

just another day....

So, we've been really into the Olympics this year, and the boys LOVE it. So, here is Chase pretending he's a hockey player. They also play, "skating", "snowboarding" and then "ski's with those guns mommy". Its funny to see them pretend so much. Kelton's been in a coloring/drawing frenzie and I love it. Taelin has been emptying everything from her room into the living room or carrying around all 5 of her babies and having us change their diapers, un/re dress them, hold them cause their "crying" and its exhausting! She gets computer paper and coloring books and colors away the days. Its fun that she's keeping herself busy, but this morning I left her a little too long and she drew with highlighter ALL over my walls! Good thing for "sol-u-mel" from Meleleuca, cleaned it right off. Chase has just been dying to get on his scooter and the boys have gone out as soon as the snow melts off of the driveway in their huge winter coats just to ride for a few minutes. Chase is now really into t.v. too. So we borrowed some new dvd's from the library and him and mommy have "down time" while Kelton is at school and Taelin's napping, which usually results in a quick mommy nap! :) the kids have found the marblebworks and spent HOURS with daddy's creation! While I've been trying to finish schoolwork, Lindsay has come to babysit. Taelin and Rylin really love being together....well, either their "on" or "off".

#4 baby Jansen

So, here is the pic of our new little addition. Kelton says that this is "her" sticking out her tongue. What a funny kid...but look closely, it totally looks like that! :) We're not sure of the sex, but we'll keep ya all posted in about 6 weeks when we know! Jacob wants to know...so we'll keep ya posted!

Happy Valentines Day!...watch out, bragging moment!

So, I went to Boise over the Valentines weekend (to help kyle and courtney after their surgeries)and my amazing hubby (sorry, I do have to brag here) kept all the kids from Friday thru Sunday and not once did I get a call saying he was having a hard day. He's a champ in my book. I got him the usual brisket from Texas Valentines gift (which is now a tradition and he looks forward to it for months). But I came home to the best gifts I have ever gotten. Before I left, I got my favorite flowers, tulips...and then I came home to find cards in my favorite people's hands. Jake had found pics of me and each of the kids and they got to decorate their cards and then he made me a "thru the years" card expressing his love. I cried.....yep, balled like a baby. What a wonderful family I have!
