Talking Taelin

This was a while ago...since her hair is now below her shoulders....but I thought it was cute enough and so true of what she is like. Such a big girl...and rather sassy.

Sorry for the silly mommy trying to explain things on the fly. I should stop talking on these!

The Stairs Ride

They did this all on their own. Gratefully no one got hurt at all. They had a ball with it and show everyone that comes over their great new ride. These are my kids...funny and unpredictable. There were too many recent videos to choose from. I'll hopefully post a Taelin talking one soon!

RIDE FOR KIDS: Help Kelton!

WHAT TO DO: Sponsor Kelton in a 2 MILE bike ride. However much you think is just fine. He's going to do the whole family ride by himself for his friend.
WHY: There is a great cause in our community this Saturday.

BACKGROUND (why this hits close to home for us):

One of Kelton's best friends has Spina bifida. His name is Isaac. He's a super kid. His mom, Kristy is taking on the HUGE task of organizing a family and serious bike ride for our community to raise money for little kids like Isaac to have adaptable P.E. equipment in their schools and community (with the support of Children with Disabilities Foundation).

This is a great cause to make kids feel normal in a world that is hard enough. All I have to deal with is food allergies, and that at times that feels enough. I can't imagine this uphill daily battle for indepedence.

First Day of School! August 31, 2009

Kelton Mikel Jansen
First day of school

Here are my cuties.

these three are hard to get a great picture of. When you get a good one...gotta keep going! :)

Chase had to follow in his brother's footsteps. And was super mad that he doesn't get to go to school.

Kelton on his first day. And yes...he posed himself.

We actually just went for an hour. Met the teacher, etc. It was fun to see him know so many of the little boys down our street. There are 7 of them in the class this year. I'm so glad that he already has friends! He loves the bus too...except that the bus driver doesn't put "air" on him and he gets so hot! :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Vanessa and Rylin 8/30

don't you love my spiderman candle?

Chase got a late bday present (him and rylin got the same thing...it was the hit of the night and such a silly thing. its a bouncy ball but a horse).

the girls on the horses. the LOVE these cubby things!

We had the family over and I made a TON of homemade pizza. It was yummy. Thanks everyone for your thoughtfulness!

Pickle Jar and Ping Pong Table

Chase and I had a rough time. I dropped a pickle jar and last Thursday. We got xrays (cause it was HUGE) and it wasn't broken. Chase tried to run away from me and ran right into the ping pong table. :) We have survived. Now only one more day and I can get back to exercising! :)

Palisades Camping: 8/28-8/29

Kelton and his "making fires" and writing his name with smoke.

Chase and his stick.

A quick one of us.

My kids could do this all day long. Everywhere we go...the love rocks and water.

I haven't seen this scene in a long time. I miss this from washington from wherever you would look. Sooo nice to see green everywhere.

We went camping just overnight to the Palisades Dam area. The kids had fun. Although they all got kinda sick...they had a BLAST diggin in the dirt and doing dishes with daddy! Chase all of a sudden got extremely creative and was making a fire out of rocks and his bucket was a soda cap. We are excited to venture out again next summer when Jake has his long weekends to explore the great camping around us!

I love to see the Temple

Kelton had a primary activity day at the temple. He's always loved the temple.

Ever since we lived in Rexburg and started building that temple on the hill...we would drive by and he would insist that I would look at it and drive up to it. He's getting too big!

Soccer and Frisbees

We went up to Beau's soccer game last week. The kids LOVED it. Chase especially just sat and watched. We had taken a trip to the dollar store earlier that day and picked up a few frisbees. The kids played and played until late that night. It was fun. Chase dove after each catch, no matter how far away it was. By the end of the night we were pretty darn good...or at least they were!
