7-1-08 GREEN BEANS!

This is a miracle! Chase LOVES fruits and will try anything in that category, and Kelton LOVES veggies (except red ones in salads) and eats them like candy. But earlier today, when I was making my dinner (which I make earlier b/c Jake was on swings and eating at the same time with the boys with a cranky baby just doesn't work), I had green beans and handed him one, and he ate them like popcorn in his hand. I gave him a bowl to carry them! Yeah!!!

Watch and Learn

Chase tried training underwear on today. I figured why not, he's been showing interest in the toliet, so we'd give it a go when he woke up from his nap. He went through two pair in less than an hour and he sat on the potty and pushed (although it was very cute) without any success. Right before he wet the second pair of undies, he signed toliet (which usually means he pooped in his diaper) and ran to the bathroom. I thought maybe he would do it! Well, Kelton ran after us and said he needed to go too! Great, Chase has socially peed before, he's going to do it! They both gathered around the toliet and Kelton dropped his shorts and looked at Chase confidently and said, "Watch and learn Chase!" :) I loved it! Chase didn't go, but after a quick toot, I just told him good job and thanked him for trying. He ran off happy with the diaper back on!

Maybe next time! :)

Opps..I know it's late! Blast from the Past!

May 2003
Alright...here is good ole' :) 2003! Jacob and I took a trip from Idaho to Florida, where we visited his mission and Louisianna (where he grew up). This is the BEST snow shack in the WORLD! These are his friends and family that we stayed with from left to right:
Annita (friend from H.S.), Ashley Matthews, Jacob, Milton Timeteo, and Amanda Matthews/now Timeteo.
Jacob dated Amanda in H.S. for a little over a year (so long to me since my longest relationship until jake was 1 at 3 months, and all others at like 3 weeks---- so i had commitment issues!), anways, some might think it was strange for us to stay with them, or for us to be friends to this day. But it's definitely NOT! Amanda and her family are halarious and so much fun!

I'm a dork!!!

Sorry, I was wondering why no one had written comments on any of the posting I had done in over 2 weeks! Well, I guess I switched the "Moderate Comments" page and wasn't getting the emails...so all of you super great gals were commenting! I'm blushing I'm so embarrassed! Urgh! Sooo..thanks to all of you guys! Oh, and Erin Gist, I need your family's website again!!! Thanks everyone!

This Week's Fun!

So, this past week has been a little busy. Here's the day-to-day dig:

Monday: Grocery Shopping (even Tae stayed with a sitter!) and Family Home Evening at the Church (like 2 min. down the road)...baseball, kickball and whatever would keep them busy!

Tuesday: Laundry day and chores for mommy! Kelton and Chase even helped!

Wednesday: Webelos (mommy's calling) and Kelton's allergy shot! :( He was so brave, those superman bandaids really help!

Thursday: Play Group at 10:30, we're usually there by 11:00, but we are in charge so we're trying to be on time! and Mommy got to go Visiting Teaching that night!

Friday: We met the Matsuura's for dinner at the park. The boys had so much fun together and it was nice and not too hot! We played till about 9:00 (1 hr. after bedtime, and the boys were pooped!)

Saturday: 11-2pm We went to Daddy's company picnic for lunch, sno cones, and free rides at the local funland (kinda ghetto). The boys had a lot of fun, we wish we had time to go to the zoo! 2-4pm Then we headed straight to Katey's (soon to be sister-in-law) Bridal Shower in Rexburg with all the girls while the boys played Wii at Grma's house. 4-6pm we were at Kimber's Basketball Tournement hosted by their H.S. where they took the championship game 6-9 pm Daddy, Aunt Lindsay, Talea, Kelton, Chase and Rylin took a dip in Grma's pool that they had just added water to, so it was kinda cold (says Jacob). Then they all took a bath afterwards, got warm, ate fried chicken for dinner and then we took off about 10:00! The boys love to play at Grma's!

WEW!! WHAT A WEEK!!!!

6-21-08 The Rexburg Splash Park

Last Saturday we went up to Rexburg, well for the weekend to take of my mom since she had surgery. We decided to let her rest, so we took all of the kids to the splash park with Lindsay and Ryun. It was super fun! The kids just loved it! Rylin wasn't too excited about it, but Kelton and Chase were happy to run free and know they could be adventurous if they wanted! Super fun!

Brothers

Hey, these guys do fight like crazy, but they play hard too! I walked outside after laying Taelin down for her nap, to find these two soaking their sidewalk chalk and making it into finger paint! They got it all over the house, the door, and the patio furniture, but more importantly- themselves!!! :)

SAVED 20 YEARS ON OUR MORTGAGE!!!

Sound too good to be true? Then put them to the test!

It's complicated Math, and those of you who know me, I hate math! But, last night we got together with an agent who showed us the numbers and said that anyone can pay off their mortgage in 8-11 years! Our's is 8.4! And with NO EXTRA MONEY EACH MONTH! Seriously, I am a skeptic...but this is real! Jacob went to a meeting last Thursday, and I was really not sure how/what this was! But, after I saw the numbers and the program at work, it is incredible but you can completely understand it! The complicated Math is fractional Math and incredibly accurate with the programs calculations!
Comment if you want to know about this! Seriously, we have done our homework. Taking over $96,000 off of our total mortgage price...something to look into for 30 minutes right?
Just trying to Pay It Forward!

Jake took me to the sweetest little cafe downtown by the Falls, and although we Taelin with us...it was so reminisent of our European Honeymoon! The small cafe, AMAZING meal and atmosphere! ah....delish! So, honey- here's to 5 years of love and to many many more!

Thank you for such an amazing get-away! I love you!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday To Chase!

6-17-08 TAELIN'S FIRST'S

Our first taste of rice cereal and a touch of pears! YUMMY!

Mommy isn't quick enough and she resorts to taking the spoon on herself!

Talking and so excited that she's eating like everyone else! Now, everytime I get something out of the fridge, she grabs it and tries to put it to her mouth. I can't drink water, or eat anything in front of her without an open mouth to get some or eyes that stare me down! Funny girl!

My big girl is 5 months old! She can sit up by herself now, just gets excited and boop, she's on the floor. She loves this kid couch and if she falls, at least she doesn't get hurt. Although, I'm not sure if she can get hurt. Her brothers are all over her all the time...and when they fall on her, she hardly ever cries. She's one brave little girl.

My beautiful little girl! Getting too big! She has 3 callicks, 2 in the back and one in the front that will make her have long hair and until then, it twisting all around!

6-14-08 REXBURG'S AIRSHOW

There were planes that did tricks and dives. It was really cool to see them fly so close to the ground and each other. The kids LOVED it, especially Chase.

All the kids were headed out to the pond to feed the ducks, but we called them back as the show started. The actual air show was at the airport in Rexburg, but there is a local park just across the river, and so we put up camp there. My mom and Kimber were in Utah at Youth Conference, so we had the kids while my dad was taking the Practix Test for Earth Science. It was warm, but lots of sunscreen and our big umbrella and we were good!

Chase hardly turned around. I begged for him to let me get a picture of him. I got the back of his head, and thought that would just be okay, until he finally turned around last second and was trying to talk to me about what he was seeing. This kid can spot planes from anywhere in the sky...sometimes I can't even find them and he's pointing and squakin'. Kelton kept telling me play-by-play what was happening. There were two trickster planes and then the war planes. We're going to take the kids to the museum this weekend.

The Jelly Belly plane that faked a loss of a part of his wing, a tire and some toliet paper that he cut in half. He also landed on a flat bed truck later. It was fun to watch him fly so close!

Beau, Bryce, Kelton, Talea and Taelin, Jake and Chase

Lindsay, Ryun and Rylin came just a litle later and we all hung out during the show. Everyone was in awe looking up at all of the cool planes. They even had a Russian M.I.G. (jet plane) that went so fast, you saw the plane and then about 2 seconds later, heard it. It slowed down so we could see it pass by the airport strip. Even the big boys had their jaws down. Super fun!

P.S. We did not want to be rude, so we sat in the back of the pack to not block anyone! :)

6-9-08 HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHASE!

Alright, so I hope that all ya all don't look at the cake too closely! I know I have friends that do SUPER jobs at cakes, and yet I have a reason :) for mine. Chase helped me put do it! He also did the sprinkles all by himself. That boy was shakin' that little shaker so hard to get 'em all out! We really had a fun day with the family and tons of balloons and stuff! It was a crazy weekend, so we celebrated on the next Monday. Jacob got home late, and my family got there late. So, luckily I had the whole day to get things ready. By the time Chase woke up, the place was decorated and he got all stiff he was so happy...jumped around and acted all silly b/c there were balloons everywhere! HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHASIE-POO!

He was such a smoozer and poser for all of the pictures with his presents! Kelton and him LOVE this city type blow up thing. They always get wet when they play in it, and have so much fun together.

He loves this little hoop! Bryce got one for his b-day and Chase loves it (altho we have a big one)! He also got a fishing pole after the bubble blower thing didn't work, we took it back and got him a little fishing pole which he will use this Saturday for the first time! He's SO excited!

Chase, you are such a sweetheart. You are a stinker lately, because you know you shouldn't do things, but just give me this starey look when I tell you no. You try to explain why it's okay. You are so sweet, thoughtful and caring towards your siblings. You are my angel baby and I love you so much!!!!
