HAPPY 27th BIRTHDAY JACOB!!
For the past couple of years, I have failed at making Jacob's birthday a big deal. 1st year- kelton was born 2 weeks earlier, 2nd year-kelton turned one and then general conference landed on that day, 3rd year- we went down to florida for his b-day and conference weekend, 4th year- we attended conference in utah with marie and aaron, 5th year- i had to do a surprise!!!!!
Here is what we did for his birthday:
1.) I made him Stollen and bought him Simply Orange Juice for this breakfast
2.) cooked brisket from texas for dinner
3.) organized a surprise birthday party with family and friends from work by decorating the house, making a banner with the boys the day before, shopping alone with three kids twice to have them each pick out a gift and at last configuring out a plan to get him out and gone for just the right amount of time!!! He didn't see anyones car, and it was perfect!
4.) Topped off the night with browines and icecream, his favorite!
Presents he got:
a pink tie, watch, 3-in-1 printer, business card holders, survival knife, sunglasses, pen with his name on it, and snickers (from talea) along with beautiful cards from the kids .
Next year, we'll just have to hope he's not sick! :(
