Palisades Camping: 8/28-8/29

Kelton and his "making fires" and writing his name with smoke.

Chase and his stick.

A quick one of us.

My kids could do this all day long. Everywhere we go...the love rocks and water.

I haven't seen this scene in a long time. I miss this from washington from wherever you would look. Sooo nice to see green everywhere.

We went camping just overnight to the Palisades Dam area. The kids had fun. Although they all got kinda sick...they had a BLAST diggin in the dirt and doing dishes with daddy! Chase all of a sudden got extremely creative and was making a fire out of rocks and his bucket was a soda cap. We are excited to venture out again next summer when Jake has his long weekends to explore the great camping around us!

I love to see the Temple

Kelton had a primary activity day at the temple. He's always loved the temple.

Ever since we lived in Rexburg and started building that temple on the hill...we would drive by and he would insist that I would look at it and drive up to it. He's getting too big!

Soccer and Frisbees

We went up to Beau's soccer game last week. The kids LOVED it. Chase especially just sat and watched. We had taken a trip to the dollar store earlier that day and picked up a few frisbees. The kids played and played until late that night. It was fun. Chase dove after each catch, no matter how far away it was. By the end of the night we were pretty darn good...or at least they were!

Got Milk? Need Milk?

K. So, recommitted to exercising, and eating good portions sizes. If you don't me really well...then I guess you will here. #1) I'm allergic to milk (not just lactose intolerant) and get pheumonia, bronchitis, migraines, sinus issues, etc. REALLY allergic. #2) I flucuate 15 lbs regularly every cycle (5-6 weeks).

I've been neglecting myself lately and not doing the things that were neccessary. Eating right, scriptures, exercising, etc. I was eating too much chocolate (yep, which has milk). So, I was really good at exercising until mid July. Urgh. How come times flies when you don't exercise but goes so slow when you do?!?!

Anyways, I have realized that I need to control these urges and this natural body of mine. Here we go. I need to be better, and get healthier, not neccessarily skinnier (wouldn't hurt tho). Just b/c as I am doing good and exercising...those lbs start to come back slowly. Frustrating. But, hopefully by Christmas I will be able to be healthy.

This was the first day since I can remember being 12 yrs old and just getting off milk that I actually looked at a pizza and was thinking about putting it in my mouth! I had to shake my head and ask what the heck I was doing! It was an eye opener (I immediately popped a calcium pill in my mouth).

Wish me luck! Here's to taking care of ourselves moms!
(sorry for the random rambling...just needed to vent!)

JUMP JUMP for Post #250!

Jacob and I have been busy busy cleaning up at quincy house in rexburg. we found these "larp" swords and stuff left behind and thought the kids would love them. We had no idea how very much they would tho. Its been fun. Bryce and Beau have even had some fun with them. The kids started jumping after my fearless one (Chase) wanted me to take his picture. They all literally jumped for over 45 minutes while I took pictures. We love hanging out at grma's house!

photos and friends

My little ones are getting too big! Kelton, busy with his friends that just moved (blue stripe and red shirt). I got to take a quick shoot with Chase and Taelin while all the boys played a tons downstairs. We are going to miss you Logan, Zach and our AMAZING babysitter Heather!

We wish you the best of luck in Wyoming! They are so lucky to have you there!

Mama said there be days like this, there'd be days like this my mama said!

K. Life is too crazy right now to even grip a handle on it. One thing after another. No pitty parties tho...I can think of MANY other people that are having it harder than I. So, no complaining. Just trying to find my brain in the craziness and taking the small amounts of time I do have to be sane, not yell at fighting kids and maybe sneek in some mommy time (aka. y.w., grocery shopping, etc.). Well, gotta run. Sorry on the lack of specifics, but gotta run!

JOHNSON FAMILY REUNION 2009

COVE FORT, UTAH
August 6th-8th, 2009
My grandparents were in Cove Fort Utah on a mission from February 2008 until February 2009 when my Grma got sick. We all met their for our first family reunion and it was fun to see a place my Grma was so passionate about. Built by the Hinckley family and impressive from head to toe. The kids loved seeing the people dressed up (like Grandpa), walking the booths, wagon rides, fort tour, eating hotdogs and chips and seeing family!

missing: Chrissy, Corey and Katey, Lindsay and Ryun and Rylin
and of course Grma (we miss you!)

Chase, Talea, Kelton
Maddi, CJ, Taelin
Maddi (11 months), CJ (1 yr.) and Taelin (19 months)
We call 'em cousins since they are. But for reals, Maddi and CJ would be my 1st cousins.

Kelton and his super hero Beau.

Wagon Rides. Tae and CJ LOVED the black horses. And Chase now talks about the chickens at were there and how he wants them. The little kids and accompaniers all went on these rides like 14 times. It was fun tho.

INDIAN MUSEUM
hyrogliphics (sp?) at the Indian Museum...it was interesting. We got Indian bracelets...well the cool ones :)
We went here on Friday morning and it was fun to look around and see all the cool sites.

BRYCE CANYON and MOSSY CAVE

We passed a sign for a mossy cave just a little up the way and ended up taking a good 2 hr. detour playing in a little river and the boys (jake, kyle and kelton) climbing up the sandstone structure that was SO high! It was a blast to have the kids in the water...and the trip home Chase coughed so hard he vomitted all over the place, which made Kelton vomit when he saw it, and then taelin's poopie mess and we FINALLY made it home. Sunday morning we were in the E.R. with Chase getting predisione for his breathing issues and we came home to everyone sick but me! Overall tho, we had a great time!

This little river kept the kids sane! I can't imagine not having Courtney's help. She was amazing and even tho they all got wet, it was SOOO worth it!

8-7-09 Ross Park, (Pocatello, Idaho)

waiting for the timer to go back in the pool

most of the kids just crawled/floated. Chase's floatation of shorts seems good enough!

She kept the hat on most of the time! I finally took it off when it was too soaked to keep out of her face from her frequent falls! :) She had a blast!

Isaac and Karlie (twins) are Kelton's age.

Mitchell (their cousin) , Kelton, Karlie Chase, Davis, Taelin, Issac

My friend Kristy and I have been trying to plan for a great day to take the kids out to Ross Park, about 45 minutes away in Pocatello. Last time we planned it, it was stormy and icky. We stayed for 3 hrs and had a blast! Taelin literally tripped and would have drowned if I wasn't hovering approx. 28 times. I counted 16 in just 10 minutes! Then she settled down. We had lunch, and each hour they would clear the little pool (0 - 1 1/2 feet) for 5 min. to check for bodily things. Kelton FINALLY put his head in the water and Chase only came to my coughing twice. Other than that..it was fun for them to have their own space. We really had a great time!

7-29 thru 8-1 Warm River Camping

We went camping in our trailer for the first time! The truck was in the shop, so getting it up there was tricky. Luckily my parents came with and everyone even fit (so glad Jake decided on the one with 4 queen beds...its a hybrid)! It was comfy and we got the only spot with hookups! It was fun to have a place to put the kids down for a nap and keep warm. And the toilet was my fav., us girls just have to use the stinky potty's too often, as well as the kids! Can't wait to go again!

7-31-09 Chuckers Game with BMPC

kelton "loving" mommy's cameramania. he's getting too big!

Jake's work had a family pizza dinner at a Chucker's Game. Pizza's always interesting with people who can't have dairy (yes, i scrap everything off for the boys who like to feel normal). It was fun. We only stayed till the top of the 5th because we were camping out at Warm River (1 hr. 15 min. north). But, we did have fun! Some crazy guy came in a sat in Jake's seat while he was gone, so luckily, we just scooted down a few seats.
