2-23-08 Rylin's Sprite Face

Is it wierd to love a little girl so much that isn't yours? Man, she's SO cute! I LOVE playing dress up with clothes that Taelin doesn't quite fit into yet and this blue dress makes those gorgeous blue eyes pop! Lindsay and Rylin came over last weekend for a Saturday Scrapbook Session, and between the two of us, I think we got like 4 pages done in the whole 3 hours! It's a little harder when you have kids around! But, I think this face is halarious!
Oh...just barely took a sip, and instant face!

Now, this one I love because Lindsay is making the same face!!! Oh, poor Rylin, making a yucky face and you're still adorable!

Breathing Treatments

Chase and Daddy falling asleep after a rough night and while taking a breathing treatment. Poor Chase has been so sick, and him and Kelton have asthma anyways so it always settles in their chests. I usually take pictures with their first treatments when they are little...but this one was too cute too pass up. Kelton takes his every night to fall asleep...and most nights it runs all night because he can't sleep without the sound of the humming.

One of Taelin's first treatments. Just a little Xopenex to help with the congestion and airways that were aggitated. This is our home everytime someone gets sick.

Jake in Arizona at NRU

So, we invested into real estate education, something Jake really wants to do, and loves to do. The accredited college courses (and soon Associate and Bachelor Degrees) are in Phoenix, Arizona. We attende a college (one week long) last June as a family, but this time, Jake attended all by himself. He's learning SO much and loving the education and how they teach real tools to use in investing. It's also great networking! Well, this May it will be a year since we signed up...and we're getting excited to close our first deal soon!
Check out the amazing website, its fun stuff!

Just a Day in Our Life!

Kelton watching "Signing Time" and learning the alphabet. He really likes this! I tried to teach him (especially after my college classes) but now that he likes it a lot more! Chase is even picking up signs each day and actually using them on his own.

Chase and Daddy's MP3 Player. He LOVES this thing! He also LOVES music! He dances all around the house while he listens to Boston, Daughtry and other of Daddy's "soft" music.

Taelin has really started smiling now, and it's so much fun to watch her get excited! She smiles at her Daddy at the drop of a hat, and Grma too. But Mommy just started getting them easy 2 days ago, and the boys got smiled at for the first time yesterday! They were so excited! She is sick now, congested and snotty from the boys...but she's great to let us suck out her nose and not fuss. She's so much fun!!

Kelton and Chase being "super boys". Chase was really cranky, so I tried to get him mind off the pain in his mouth and starting singing the superman thingy and standing like Peter Pan, I"m sure he just had no idea what the heck I was doing, but thought I was crazy and started to laugh. They then ran around the house trying to watch their own capes flapping in the wind! :) He was so cute! They didn't end up getting sick of those things for like 5 hours! I love boys!

Cousin Rylin

This was last Sunday, the 10th of February.
We hadn't seen Rylin in 3 weeks! Way too long! The boys totally were all over her! And luckily they didn't have the flu, (bacterial infections) so they were finally able to play with her because she's over her RSV! We sure missed her! By the end of their smothering her, she was definitely ready for Aunt Talea! We're so glad that they are all close in age, it's so much fun to get together and see them play!

Pregnancy Photo Shoot

We had a pregnancy photo shoot with an amateur photographer looking for studio practice a couple of weeks before Taelin was born. The boys were there and they had fun for the first little bit, and then some with Jake and then a bunch by myself. It was fun. A little uncomfortable with the tummy, but I really liked how the pictures came out. It's nice to document as life goes on. I love being pregnant, just not being sick (which for the whole 27 months, I've had 5 that I haven't been sick for). I have a really hard time the last month or so because of the hip pain (wish Heavenly Father had given me real woman hips cause they kill as they loosen!)- but it's all worth it in the end! These babies are so much fun! I love having the baby kick and with Taelin, it was SO nice to be so small! With the boys I couldn't breathe and hardly move, but I was right on schedule measuring this time, and it was GREAT that she was so small! Yeah for 7 1/2-8 lb. babies! Wahoo!

Unhappy Boys!

Chase got stitches on Friday! Poor little guy! He fell off the toilet and knocked a picture off the wall and then it popped out of its frame and just sliced his little pinky finger. He got 4 stitches and is just cranky because on top of stitches, he is teething still and now has the flu! This little boy is such a trooper! And naps are huge lately!!

He's being a huge cuddle bug on mommy. He also started trying to box with Daddy today, instead of running- and made these swooshing noises with his mouth. Super cute!!

Kelton is also sick...poor buddy. Everytime he gets sick, he gets these skin infections on his face. Just his body's way of dealing with it! He has two ear infections and sore throat on top of the flu too! We are extra sensitive these days but love our new Shrek toothpaste that looks like shrek's snot! :) Him and Daddy think it's the coolest!

He even makes me hold his hand when he gets up and says, "Hold my hand mommy, I'm so sick."

Love you buddy!

SNOW DAY!

Behind the boys, you can see our 6 foot fence, that is half way gone from the snow that we've gotten! This year we have gotten our fair share, and with the drifts from the crazy wind, we have gotten huge swells in some places (like this side of the house, where my future garden will be!) So, Jake decided it would be fun to throw Kelton into it, the majority of the backyard was so hard, you didn't even sink, but they it was soft in the drifts- so we had some fun.

Chase, isn't he adorable!! I LOVE this snow outfit! He was watching Kelton get thrown.

I was squatting to take a picture of him, so he copied me- he's such a character! He kept brushing the snow from in front of him to the side then stepping where he had cleared, it was halarious to watch, and it took him forever to get anywhere!

Kelton smiling after Daddy threw him into the snow drift!

Chase walking on top of 3 feet of snow in the back yard

Daddy throwing Kelton into the garden area, the next picture shows how deep Kelton went! Mommy was freaking out that he would go too deep! Daddy tried to jump in after him (the first picture) but it didn't work out so well. Then Daddy picked up Chase and tossed him without Chase knowing what was going on (scroll down).

Kelton was not even scared! Just giggling the whole time!

Chase's reaction! Rescue me daddy!!

Kelton had so much fun! It was SO nice to get the boys out and into the snow! It's been SO cold (-10 degrees or lower) for the past 2 weeks, and before that- it was yucky with the winds. But now, we got 30 degree weather, and with little tiny winds, it was PERFECT to take the boys out and burn some of that energy that they have had from being in the house so much! We are looking forward to building a snow man tomorrow!!! Yay! They are so excited that they weren't freezing either! It took forever to bring them in and undressed, but then they figured they could eat the snow!!! YUMMY!

Kelton and Logan

This is Logan Linton, Kelton's best friend. They play GREAT together! All summer they would dig for treasure out in our dirt of a yard, for hours- no joke! They love walking to class at church together and playing guns. They both dressed up as cowboys for Halloween, even though they didn't see each other. They are fun to watch! We are so glad that Logan is his friend!

The ladies man!

Beau taught Kelton that when he talks to a lady, he says this. SUPER CUTE!

Family Night at GameWorld

The boys love the arcade! The fact that they get to play games, and those games give them tickets to buy toys is just the greatest idea for them! They loved this driving game the best, and Chase loved the ball game! Figures! They both had a blast, and Taelin actually slept great! It was a fun family night! We forgot our camera, but my phone did an okay job, once I figured out the flash! :)

January at the Jansen's

Chase and his bagels!! Now that we have found a great non-dairy cream cheese, this kid is all over it!! :) He came to me like this, so I had to take a picture of him and the bagel!

Kelton does look a little off, and the day of his oral surgery (the 12th of jan.), he was very off! They gave him a seditive and he was woopie all day long! He had major dental work, poor kid- just one more thing! But now we are cavity free! Oh, and the chocolate on the face is from the "soft foods" he had to eat! :)

Kelton and his "Bob the Builder" hat, and "motorcycle" he's been driving around the house all week! We are ready for the snow to melt and the basement to be finished!!!!

Chase was so proud of himself for stacking these kindermusik sticks! He kept asking me to turn and clap with him!!! Great job buddy!!

This is Taelin, our beautiful little girl. You like daddy's hairstyle, Kelton LOVES mohawks now, and yes- Daddy even does them for church. She is such a great blessing to our home! We are so glad that she is here! The boys both have their baby's too, that they carry around and Chase even rocks his and bounces his. They are such great big brothers!!

Taelin Marianne Jansen

Sorry, these aren't really in order. But, here she is! Taelin Marianne (middle name is after Jacob's deceased Grma's) Jansen. She was 7 lbs. 12 oz. and 19 1/2" long. She was born at 4:30 am. on January 8th, 2008. Labor was alright...Vanessa was 3 cm. dialated on the 5th at 11:00 pm, and although there were contractions all weekend consistently, they didn't really start until 10:30 on the 7th, getting REALLY hard. We got the boys together about 1:00 am and got to Rexburg by 1:45 am. By 2:00 am Vanessa was only a 4 cm. and opted for a Epidural (never done before). Once they got the IV in (took an hour and many attempts with blown veins) and the epidural administered, Vanessa had already pushed 3 times before the meds even started working! Oh well...it lasted for about 45 minutes, since Vanessa wouldn't push until it was actually working all the way- might as well since we had it! :) So, she was posterier and it took longer to push her out even though she was the smallest baby we've had almost by a whole pound! She is such a blessing to our home and family!
Baby Taelin all bundled, 10 hrs. old. Redness from posterier position.

Kelton and Mommy in the Mom/Baby Recovery Unit...getting ready to go home.
We stayed at Grma Choffin's house to take care of car business (we also got a new van on the 10th, and sold Grma and Grpa our Honda) and Dr. Appointments for Kelton. It was nice for the help.

Chase and Taelin. What a great big brother!

Taelin Jansen, 2 days old. What a sweetheart!

Welcome baby Taelin! 4:30 am!

Right onto mommy...at a hard time finding a modest newly born pic! :)

Big Brother Kelton (stayed with us at the hospital until later that morning), helped the nurse give Taelin her first bath...what a big helper!

Chase's favorite part of the hospital! The buttons on mommy's bed that had lights on them! The lights were on and off all day with him there! :)

Our 1st new family picture!

Emilia Claire Rogerson

Emilia was born to Marie and Aaron (Marie is Vanessa's best friend) on January 5th, 2008 and was 9 lbs 3 oz. and 21" long! She's a cutie! We are so excited for you guys! Way to go- you're now in the "having a baby all natural club"!!! :)
