Taelin Marianne Jansen

Sorry, these aren't really in order. But, here she is! Taelin Marianne (middle name is after Jacob's deceased Grma's) Jansen. She was 7 lbs. 12 oz. and 19 1/2" long. She was born at 4:30 am. on January 8th, 2008. Labor was alright...Vanessa was 3 cm. dialated on the 5th at 11:00 pm, and although there were contractions all weekend consistently, they didn't really start until 10:30 on the 7th, getting REALLY hard. We got the boys together about 1:00 am and got to Rexburg by 1:45 am. By 2:00 am Vanessa was only a 4 cm. and opted for a Epidural (never done before). Once they got the IV in (took an hour and many attempts with blown veins) and the epidural administered, Vanessa had already pushed 3 times before the meds even started working! Oh well...it lasted for about 45 minutes, since Vanessa wouldn't push until it was actually working all the way- might as well since we had it! :) So, she was posterier and it took longer to push her out even though she was the smallest baby we've had almost by a whole pound! She is such a blessing to our home and family!
Baby Taelin all bundled, 10 hrs. old. Redness from posterier position.

Kelton and Mommy in the Mom/Baby Recovery Unit...getting ready to go home.
We stayed at Grma Choffin's house to take care of car business (we also got a new van on the 10th, and sold Grma and Grpa our Honda) and Dr. Appointments for Kelton. It was nice for the help.

Chase and Taelin. What a great big brother!

Taelin Jansen, 2 days old. What a sweetheart!

Welcome baby Taelin! 4:30 am!

Right onto mommy...at a hard time finding a modest newly born pic! :)

Big Brother Kelton (stayed with us at the hospital until later that morning), helped the nurse give Taelin her first bath...what a big helper!

Chase's favorite part of the hospital! The buttons on mommy's bed that had lights on them! The lights were on and off all day with him there! :)

Our 1st new family picture!

Congrats! She's beautiful! I'm sorry to hear the epidural wasn't as helpful as it could have been. Man, I love those things. Take care and enjoy your precious baby!!
