9-30-08 THE DUCKS

So, we've caught up with our long time friends, the ducks. The last couple nice days of the warm weather, we just had to get out and get that fresh air before it was too late! It was fun, the bread went quick and their comments cracked me up.
P.S. yes, this is the last day I would let Kelton wear this outfit! I promise!

9-28-08 SWEET 16 KIMBER!!!

Kimber doesn't look so excited, b/c I scrapbooked and wrote a poem for her horse that passed away, and it made her cry and remember her. I'm sorry I didn't give it to you later!

yummy white cake with strawberry mousse inside birthday cake! great job mom!

So, can't stinkin' believe my little sister that I remember bringing home from the hospital is 16 now! Holy Cow! She is a beautiful woman, mature beyond her years and very thoughtful and caring. She is funny, outgoing and one heck of an athlete. She's scares boys off the court and can out pitch any other chick in the state of Idaho. No joke. Kimber, I love you.

9-27-08 Getting Ready for Halloween

So, although there is not costume here. this is what she is excited about lately! She loves to pull out ALL the papers from the computer desk! As long as it looks important, she wants it! :)

We found this Spiderman costume on a sale rack for "as is". Chase loved it. It squishes his eyes, but that almost makes it cuter! :)

Kelton is going to be a teenage mutant ninja turtle (raph i think)...grandma still has the rest of the costume, so we bought a ninja weapon set (which is almost broken already) and he got to get on green clothes. No joke, he worn these clothes for 2 more days after this day. Kept wanting to be a turtle. But you never know with this one, he talks about a new costume everyday.

Family Fun!

I tried to update a picture of all of them, believe it or not, but this was the best one out of about 14 pictures!

Yeah, this summer Chase went to Home Depot like this (but dressed)...he got a lot of looks. And when he turns it backwards, he looks like the darth vader inpersonator on Space Balls. :)

This past Saturday, we did another family night. But, while the boys were gone I cooked dinner instead of making that "resturant menu" thing (should have saved those!). So Kelton was really bummed out when he got home and I was still cooking instead of being the "food lady". So, luckily, Oma Jansen sent us some presarrated (sp?) tickets for the movies and some play money. I had the boys get outside and grab a friend (Mickey and a Bear) and then they "came into the movie theater". The only thing about being creative is having to upkeep those expectations! :) We had a fun time watching UnderDog!

This is my sneaky girl lately! She's pulling herself up to things, crawling and pushing herself around (I'll post that later) and just getting into things already! She's so fun!

9/13/08 Crumbs in my earring!

Has anyone ever had that day where things just seem to downward spiral from the minute you wake up and then before you know it you're in survival mode and all of a sudden stop caring about anything that isn't life threatening?
That was my last week and leading into my Saturday. Wew, Jacob has been sick, so home some of the time, and coming home from work early and being wasted and exhausted to do anything but sit and play the Wii (to help keep his mind off things).
Taelin is teething...
but nothing has cut through, so just awnry, wanting me, sleeping for hours at a time, or not wanting to sleep at all the next minute. Happy happy, grouchy grouchy, its like a woman on pms, that doesn't know what they want but Tylenol. Her nose is running...and she only wants me.
Kelton is actually doing good,
except his need to constantly argue and decide for himself when it is time for him to do something that I have asked. Just 4 yr. old stuff....and his emotions seem to be all over the place lately, but that might be from our new schedule with pre-school.
Chase, his poor kid.
Fell off the garage steps onto his head when trying to put on shoes on the stairs...bonk #1; somehow either tried to get on my bike (that has a seat for him on the back) or bumped it, because it fell on him and he was trapped underneath, bonk #3 and #4; was running at my mom's neighbors house and tripped (not sure how) into a closet and bite open his bottom lip, cut on outside of mouth and gums, bonk #5. This poor kid has had such a rough week, we are considering putting him in a bubble! Maybe he's growing and that's why he's falling all the time!
So, that is why I went on survival mode.
Not even taking into consideration all of their breathing treatments, medications needed, dry itching skin or allergic reactions. Ahhh...so Saturday I was so on survival mode that I was simply trying to feed them all, keep them from fighting and get done everything that I had to do with Jacob being sick, and starting school (last Monday), my YW calling, and all the rest of the "mommy" things that have to always get done.
Oh, and the crumbs in my earrings? Yeah, Lindsay (my sister) found one while I was trying shoes on Kelton on Saturday....I figured that just kinda summed up my day. Who gets cracker crumbs in their earrings????
See....sometimes blogs aren't only the happy gooey stuff, right?!?!?

9-6-08 What a Goofey Girl!

Taelin lately is halarious! She's got such a funny personality, and just seriously cracks me up! She kept pulling my hair at the fair and giggling in my face, and then lately she is just happy to be anywhere, or completely off and doesn't want to be anywhere but with me and have my full attention! I love the lips in these pics...and the bobbin' to the side to see if she can see me. She's getting SO big! And seriously, keeps all of us laughing! But, she is teething I think, cause she's awful grouchy about not being left alone, wakes up all hours of the night to eat and play, and urgh! Just sleep baby! We finally had a couple good naps today, but ahh..just one good night and I'll be set! I guess we'll see how that goes!

9-2-08 The Scary House

9-2-08 Day at the Fair

8-28 and 8-30 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US!

So, thank you to all of you who helped Jacob give me a surprise party for #25...it was so much fun! Although I didn't get any pictures (since I always take them), it was so nice to be thought of and cared about. It was so surprising though to get home and see a bunch of people from our neighborhood! You all really surprised me...thank you SO much! It was fun!
Happy Day to Rylin Paige Payne!!! Yeah, you're one! She LOVED the cake! Ryun would hold it up to her face and she'd take HUGE bits!! She was angry when she smeared it all in her face and eyes, but it was sure fun to see those cheeks all full of cake! :) Happy Day Rylin! Thanks Kyle for also driving over here for just over 24 hours to spend these times with us!

8-25-08 What a busy day!

This day was super busy. But, I just wanted to update about Kelton, he has this baby, which he has had since he was about 1. But this day, was special, he put clothes on her, got her a diaper bag, blanket, toy and off he went, being a great daddy all day long! He is so sweet. He always tells Taelin and I that we look beautiful. This also is Taelin in a sweater that Oma Jansen made for her...it's simply beautiful!!

8-24-08 What Sunday's Are For

So, with the Dedication of the Twin Falls Temple, and two semi-sick kids (who had horrible nights), Kelton and I went to church (1-2 pm) and Kyle stopped by on his way out of town, he went back up to Rexburg to get a new friend named Skeeter. But now his apartment complex won't let him have him, so if anyone is looking for an adorable weiner dog, here he is! For free! The boys LOVED to paint, so while Daddy was at his Presidency Meeting, the boys had a little fun! They love making art projects to send to Oma and give to Grandma!

8-23-08 Boys Day and Girls Day

Well, for the exception of Chase, all the boys went golfing. (Dad was in washington, and Corey's wife was working). Kelton had been looking forward to golfing with the boys for almost a month, so when Kyle called to ask, we couldn't help but drop everything and go up to Rexburg for the day! The girls decided to go the splash park, which we have really enjoyed this summer. Poor Talea forgot a swimsuit, and so when she kept splashing me, I decided to get her a little wet and then she went all for it! :) Here is she drying herself off! :) Chase was so brave without Kelton there! I was super surprised! He went down the slide, (once and altho he was kinda pushed, he still enjoyed it) was running through the sprayers, and really had fun! Then we went on the caoursel right next to the splash park, and Taelin was in heaven, cooing the whole time. She actually got in the water too without shreeking!

8-20-08 Naked Day

Taelin is always so serious in these group shots! The boys smiles crack me up. Its funny to see how different their skin tones are. Olive (well kinda) , whitey-white, and pinkish! Love you guys!
brothers...play hard, love hard, fight hard.

It seems like all at once, every one has an accident in the bed, someone poops on my sheets, and everything needs washing at once. Ah well, such is life. I love naked pictures- so Kelton even got into his undies for some cute group pictures. Kelton and Chase are getting so big that they get to take pictures sometimes too...so precious!
